Manifestation of Stupidity!

I feel kind of creepy when I read about such things. A 19-year boy having sex with a 17-year school kid is socially acceptable (in the Indian context) or not is altogether a different issue. I’m not delving in to it now. But I cannot digest the fact that people could be so dumb. You do something that’s very private and personal (and of course not even legal) and instead of burying it deep in your hearts you leave a manifestation of it for the whole world to see. Similar incident happened in 2000 or 2001. Two college friends in Bangalore had their sex act filmed in their handy cam and when the guy wanted a CD print for himself, the whole world had it before he did. The DPS issue is the latest in this genre. I know, it is sick but then you must remember that you live in a mad, mad world. Now, some of you might argue that it is one’s own wish that he or she could do whatever they want to and the world must go blind. If you are one with such idealistic thoughts, Mars might be perfectly suitable for you inhabitance. One thing that kindles my curiosity is that, why do people want to film these things? Is it something that they invented? Is it not something that is happening from the days of Adam and Eve? Can they ever share it with they children/grand children? If no, then, why on earth would they do this? I’m clueless. You have any ideas? Enlighten me!

If you are still adamant about filming, you might want to check out this handy cam. It writes directly to a DVD!

I guess they got a thrill of being someone with potential greatness when they kept track of their act together. Ethics are the first things to be jaundiced by interpretations. What else can we say?

hmm...the effect that the DPS scandal had on all the educational institutions in our country!(immd measures where taken all over)...dont mean to sound like an ol' hag but i think that some how these days teen agers (some of them) tend to lack some self control and a panaromic view of their future..wonder watever happened to the "good old days" of falling in love!

Well I have never understood the conecept of filming the most intimate act of your life. I mean its not like its a birthday video u can share with everybody? Not like you are suffering from memory loss or something...
A new fad has come into China, I came across this article...check it out.
The world in one crazy place...

The one thing I guess that never is thought by either these kids or those money minting disk creators is how such public disposure can affect the lives of socially conscious parents/siblings etc...

It is in Indian blood to keep the society infront of one's own self -Not that I agree with that, but i know it is a bigger cultural change that cannot happen overnight, Meanwhile such incidents can take many lives involved!

I hope atleast the rest realize the after effects of such acts!

I find it kinda abnormal if u want to film something that's supposed to be private and even more absurd that both of them agreed to do it.... Guess there are odd one outs everywhere

Hey,
I agree with ur view on the post!
Although yes u agree that there is freedom of speech, act and everythign esle...fact is sometimes we need to see things from a pure practical point of view.
Not just in India but everywhere else in the world too this could easily have turned into a porn CD!..Unfortunately carelessness like this can leave scars for the rest of the life..but at this age..often people dont realise the consequences.

$ Janani - You are right, ethics ? I wonder if they still exist!

$ Lakshana - Heard that they banned camera phones after that DPS stuff..I heard recently that Anna Univ banned usage of cell phones..I'm glad I passed out before these happened :)..Hmm..falling in love ? I dont think ppl ever fall in love these days :)

$ Ramblings - World is really becoming crazy!

$ Vamsee - Very true! people dont think about their family before doing such things..gosh! poor parents..what else could we say?

$ Alice - You might never know if Mars is really idealistic..Why wouldn't ppl think of not doing such things instead of running to places where people are not bothered abt these stuff?

$ HBP - Odd ones? yeah! I would say stupid ones!

$ Anand - hey thanks for dropping by! "Think before you leap" doesnt make sense these days..huh!

$ Shikha - thats for the adamant people! My sincere advice to them to make their act private and by no means bring it to the world..kinda fool proof..eh?? :)

$ Khushi - Since you agree with Shikha, refer my views on Shikha's comment :)

$ Lakshana - It does sound insane but what else could an educational institution do? People should use gadgets in a proper way and they have to reap the curse of misusing :)

will think about the hit counter!

Hey Naveen I can see that you are confused and bewildered. But each to his own, I say! I look at it less from the emotional point of view, in thte sense that it is an intimate act. I look at it from the public point of view. You do such a thing, you invite trouble. And that is what happened!
